an exhaustive list of the little things giving me life, perspective, comfort, and solace - including my hotel-borrowed robe, voice notes, and three easy peasy recipes I make on repeat
Oh! How I adore you! So many lights, but my fave one this week: my youngest grandchild fed me raisins through the screen during a FT call. So I got some raisins, and the next time we talked, I βpickedβ the raisin from the screen and ate it. The look on his face!!! After one more time, he paused a moment and put 2 raisins by the screen and chose one for himself! Our 2 year old little guy brings us so much joy and ...light. Oh...and lots of giggles. My lights here are the 4 students I tutor - grades 4 - 9. I love them, and I love the opportunity to really, really know each one so deeply. From Scratch (Tembi Locke) and The Starless Sea (Erin Morgenstern
A few things that are bringing me light these days: days with Li and seeing what a cool human he has become, rediscovering the beautiful gems in Guatemala I haven't been to for 2 decades like the amazing Semuc Champey and reminding myself to stop and absorb the beauty of every sunset/sunrise/etc. etc. Happy Holidays Sweet Emma!
Loved this newsletter! It was full of light and joy. My simple pleasures...being in the same place as my husband and adult children, my morning coffee and Wordle, a good book (currently Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson) and almost daily telephone calls with my mom!
βpeace arrives at your doorstep every morning in the form of choicesβ π«π«
